How to Edit a Template (Step by Step)
Templates are just text. Every part of them is meant to be changed.
1. Pick the nearest template. If you want to track AI funding news but the template says "track startup funding news," that's close enough. Start there.
2. Swap the topic. Replace the generic topic with your specific one. Change "startup funding news" to "AI startup funding news in Europe."
3. Add a source type if you want. You can tell AIDular where to look. Add something like "from tech news sites" or "from Reddit and blogs" to focus the results.
4. Set the time window. Templates often include a phrase like "from the past week." Change this to match your schedule. If you pick a daily report, change it to "from the past 24 hours."
5. Say what you want in the output. Good templates already include this, but you can add to it. For example: "Include a one-line summary for each item and a link to the source."
6. Save and pick your schedule. Daily works best for fast-moving topics. Weekly is better for slower-moving things like industry trends or job markets.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Keeping the template exactly as-is. Generic prompts get generic results. Always change at least the topic and the time window.
- Making it too long. A prompt that's four paragraphs long usually confuses things. Two to five sentences is plenty.
